Season 2019!

And just like that, the 2019 season is over, but what a great year it was!

Time to give you an update how everything ended. As you remember from my last update, I had some goals I wanted to achieve this year. I am happy to say, “I achieved them all” 🙂

Top 350 Rolex World ranking – 287th
Top 50 Order of Merit LET – 23th
Top 60 Olympic Ranking – 47th
Nr1 Belgium

Best year for me so far on the Ladies European Tour. Had a couple Top 10 finishes and also had two tournament wins on the Let Access Series. I made some big steps the last few years which is giving me more confidence during tournaments.

After I came back from the ISPS Handa World Invitational in Ireland I went straight to Czech Republic to play the dual LET/LetAccess tournament. This wasnt my week and missed the cut with one shot. Sometimes it doesnt always go the way you plan it, but thats golf. I had some time to practice at home and see my coaches before heading out for the next couple of tournaments.
Next up was the Lacoste ladies Open at the beautiful course, golf du Medoc in Bordeaux. The players field was very strong with some good players like Nelly Korda and some Solheim Cup players (Caroline Hedwall, Azahara Munoz, Celine Boutier). I was very happy with my Top 5 finish. Stayed very calm and focused on my own game, a lot of good things take from that week.
Straight after, I went to Spain for the Estrella Damm Mediterranean ladies Open in Sitges, Barcelona. Beautiful course in tough conditions with high rough and really narrow fairways. Although, I played steady and finished T22.
Another tournament straight after, the Hero Womens Indian Open. Its Always an honor to play this tournament on this beautiful and challenging golf course. Last year I missed the cut and I told myself this year ” I am going to concur this course, and I did.” this is one of the bigger tournaments of the year with more prize money and I managed to finish in the Top 10.

After this streak of tournaments I was home for 6 weeks, to see my coaches and get ready for the last two LET tournamenst of the season.

Next up, I went to play a small event on the Santander Tour (Spanish Tour) to get back in some tournament mode. I have played this event before which is played in Barcelona at El Prat Golf Club. It was a good preparation, on good greens with some good competition. I became second and was ready for the Andalucia Costa del Sol de España in Marbella. I was a little disappointed after that week because I feel like I could have finished higher with some better golf. Although, I finished T48, time to move on.
Last tournament of the year was in Kenya. This was a new event, which we all were very excited about. Played very steady all week and had another Top 10 to finish strong.

This is it for 2019, I cant wait for the 2020 season to start and travel around the world again.

A big thank you to all my coaches for believing in me and getting me through some tough times. Also to my family and friends for always supporting me and being there every single time.

Last but not least, thank you so much to all my sponsors for your support and believe in me, without you I couldnt be able to chase my dreams.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

See you all in 2020!
